Each character will have a unique life, nothing will be the exact same for each and every creature to live in Agrendoc, however there are a few things that you will need to know about life for your characters before they are dropped into this world. This page will serve as a reference for the different stages of life for a character in the world of Agrendoc, it will include things such as being raised by the houses, gaining an occupation, travelling and anything that a character is likely to do in their lifetime.
[Birth]
Like all creatures, characters of Agrendoc are born all the time. Most animals are born in litters, but it is not uncommon for parents to give birth to a single youngster that will grow up without siblings to influence them. All creatures of Agrendoc are born with magic flowing through their veins, yet not all of them are able to tap into these abilities.
[House upbringings]
Houses send out House Mothers to collect children for their cause at the beginning of every month, depending on the town that they are born in and grow up in, your character will either be brought up by Vulux, Ignus or Cervisces. This is the general rule unless the parents of the children travel to the town of Balistad to hand their child over to the House of Vulux directly. Unless your character was born in Travista, they monitor their children and do not allow parents to hand over their children into any other houses. Their life from then on is decided by that household until they are allowed to choose to live out of the House Main Quarters. If they choose to leave their house, they are able to live a relatively normal life without the direct influences of the three houses hanging over their heads - however there is no guarantee a character will not be used as a pawn in the houses’ games. No matter a character’s living situation, if their House requires their servitude they must respond quickly to aid them.
Being raised by a house means that you will be disciplined in the fashion of that house, you will be trained in the ways of that house; for the main part, your life will be controlled by that house until you reach the age that you can leave.
[Staying in a House]
Youngsters brought up in a House have the choice to stay on and further their ‘education’ with that House, or to leave and make their own life outside of the Houses direct influence. For those that stay with the House they were raised with, they can either climb up the ranks or gain a job working elsewhere. However, be warned that if your character chooses this path to follow, they will have to remain completely loyal to their House. This means that if they are called on for any missions or things as such, they must drop what they are doing to come and help or face the consequences from the higher up ranks.
[Traveling outside of the Houses]
Despite still being loyal to a House, characters are able to travel around the lands of Agrendoc to any of the three towns still standing. To strangers, your character’s loyalty to a house is not obvious, unless you ask them, no one is going to go around outwardly telling others where their loyalties lie. It’s more polite if you do not ask, however. Most creatures in Agrendoc prefer not to be judged by their house loyalties, unless they are part of the higher ranks of one. Houses do not restrict where their members can go, or when they can go anywhere - they simply hold a lot of power over the towns they are based in.
[Marriage]
Your character is likely to find ‘the one’ for them and wish to stay with them till the end of their life. If this is the case, you will need to note the group asking for permission before your character proposes to the love of their life. You will also have to have brought the correct marriage item from the Marketplace, depending on the character's’ house affiliation. Once you have permission, you are ready to Roleplay the romantic proposal. You may wish to roleplay a wedding ceremony, if you wish to do so - go ahead!
[Starting a Family]
If your characters wish to start a family of their own, there is a procedure for this as well. However it is a fairly simple one. Before you note the group asking for permission for your characters to start their own family, you should have already bought the items necessary for the birthing process from the marketplace. The female giving birth to the pups will be pregnant for a total of one season in group time, that’s a month in real time for us. After this time is up, we will need a second note from the parents and an admin will randomize numbers and genders for the members. After this is done, you may do whatever you like with the pups, designing them and adopting them out to other members or even people looking to join the group.
[Cross Housing and Cross Species Marriage]
It is possible for characters in different houses to marry, depending on the House’s current standings with each other - if they are good, then there is more of a chance the marriage will be allowed by the House Masters; as long as their marriage does not interfere with their loyalties to their Houses. This means that even if one character is ordered to kill a member of their spouse’s House, they must still comply or face the consequences from the higher ranks. However there must be extra notes sent to the group as well as the regular marriage notes. If your character is a member of the Vulux House, you must note the group and title the note for Tarrath asking for permission for your character to wed a member of another house. If they are in Ignus, you must title the note for iComett and if they are in Cervisces, you must title the note for Vi-Vify with the same content. Once you are given the okay, you may go ahead and buy the applicable items from the marketplace and continue with the methods explained above.
For cross species marriage, no two species are unable to marry, species plays no part in the marriage concept in Agrendoc. They were all made the same and are able to start their own families and marry as a part of everyday life.
Below is a list of Occupations that you can choose for your character. Please be sure when writing your history that you mention how they got this job. If it is a high class job you must explain how they were able to reach those ranks, be it if it was work or family ties.
