Situated at the base of an ancient mountain on the edge of a thick evergreen forest, Oroyran is always shrouded in a thick fog that seems to stop most sunlight reaching through to the town. The forest makes for good hunting grounds for the few that dare to venture into the dark atmosphere of the thick forest. A mismatch of houses make up the main town center while the housing seems to get more and more dilapidated as you move away from the town center. Narrow, cobbled streets make up most of the town with houses piled high on either side, a majority of the housing in Oroyran looks to be about to collapse in a pile of splinters or brick dust.

The population of Oroyran is very high, more often than not, you will find whole families living in one small wooden shack. Despite what you would think, there isn’t a high chance of catching disease from the overpopulated areas of Oroyran, the more densely populated areas are usually those nearer the center of the town due to the proximity to the main market place and low tax rates. A majority of citizens in Oroyran have to live with another, this is both due to a huge overpopulation problem and because there is a lack of housing safe for living in as wood shacks don’t last long in the damp atmosphere.

HotSpots

Edge of the forest due to hunting grounds and the very center of the town

This theme carries on up the mountain a good few miles, the citizens of Oroyran to settle here are mostly miners or blacksmiths as Ororyan has a good trade reputation for the highest quality weapons and armour. The layout of the town is much like a maze to newcomers, winding alleyways and few signposted routes make for a confusing time if you lack the local knowledge or a suitable guide. Settlers up the mountain - dubbed the ‘North Side’ by the locals - who make a living off the rich metal ores are usually more trustworthy and more like businessmen, whereas settlers from the ‘South Side’ of the town are more likely to go down the black market route in terms of occupation as their settlements are a lot shadier and there is a high crime rate.

Towards the East side of the town, where the housing is mostly stone buildings done when the town was first built. Maybe expansion hadn’t been planned out all that well by the House Master at the time. There is one, large, stone mansion of sorts, mismatched balconies jut out of the walls at odd angles, creating pathways from the main building to others of much the same style. This building is the House Bureau. This is the center of the House of Ignus’ affairs, this is where the House Master dwells and where all of the black market dealings go down and are organised. A majority of assassins and mercenaries leave this building and go into the real world armed to the teeth with battle technique and weaponry. This place is also where the training of new House Members happens.
