Named after its central island, Travista is situated on a plethora of sub aquatic floating islands, leveled mainly above the water. Each platform is made of three main layers; buoyant wood, sod, then grass. Such floats have been mastered to hold large amounts of weight, whilst remaining rather motionless. Each raft ranges in sizes; however, situated in the center of the city is the largest island, approximately 2 miles x 2 miles, it is the only, non man-made raft. A natural island, it functions as the collective educational center of Travista, along with the central market and community center. Outside the city, is a vast rainforest, left undiscovered due to unseen creatures.

Linked to the main island, the floating city, is rather spacious, averaging 2 buildings per raft [ 200 ft x 100 ft ], plus large flourishing gardens, the building height is set at a maximum of two stories -for the wealthiest-. However, architecture of Travista does not lack, most buildings are made of the choice stone, pumice, providing light, easily carvable rock that floats if need be. Additionally, the buildings are lined with a shells, reeds, driftwood, and other decorative pieces found in and around the ocean. Intertwining the rafts, are 6 foot wide dirt paths, often muddy from rain or ocean spray.

Nevertheless, Travista holds a hefty impoverished population [approx. 16% ]. Most citizens of the poor class live on the south side of the floating city. Titled The Rots, it holds a largely, promiscuous and shady community. Buildings here are long, short, and made of rotting wood, with large trees towering over the community. Additionally, the now mud path is only 3 feet wide, often close to murky water’s edge. Pollution of The Rots is high, disease is rampant, and rotting fish is a common scent.

HotSpots

Primary hotspots are largely at sea with merchant ships and fishing boats. Conflicts tend to occur with other town’s ships or boarders.
