HouseMaster - Carthus Winterfowl
Cervisces encourages strict and well defined households, where children focus on studies and parents provide a stable home. Upon disobedience, parents or guardians are expected to discipline the child with a swift, physical slap to the cheek, however if a greater disruption occurs, parents are permitted light beatings. However, Cervisces also encourages mental discipline including firm chats, removal of privileges and the like.
Advertently, pupils of Cervisces are key to the growth of the house, thus if parents lack in discipline, children will be relocated to the Pupil Hall. The Pupil Hall is a specialized academy used as a corrective facility, or for children who show no promise in academia. Here children will either receive lessons in trades such as fishing and architecture or spend their time before being relocated to a new family.
A select few pupils, however, will be adopted into an underground program. Here Cervisces begins to train them for Cervisces less ‘credible’ business. Children holding no promising abilities are mentally and physically experimented on, leading to -in extreme cases- insanity or death. However, these ‘test subjects’ are key to the development of Agrendoc’s society. Many times such unidentified experiments reshape the children into promising members of Travista’s society.
Cervisces also owns a vast number of merchant ships and trade routes, thus, they receive rather large sums of money through their exports of technology, fish, and plunder. The plunder is solely from the other ‘distasteful’ business of Cervisces. The house encourages pirates and sea dogs, who plunder other town’s ships. However, these ‘sea dogs’ are sworn to never reveal their employer.
“Embrace the knowledge of your elders, like the waves embrace the moon’s pull.”
One of the more seclusive houses of Agrendoc, Cervisces functions as the science and educational powerhouse of the land. Well rounded scholars and brilliant scientist compose the council enforcing stringent studies while funding exploration and experimentation. Knowledge is key in this house, one is gauged on their quick thinking, creative capacity, and their academic smarts.

These sea dogs are under direct supervision of the Cervisces house where 27% of their profit is gained. Pirates are used for plundering neighboring towns, as protection, and vessels for exploration. Pirates in Travista, are like rock stars now. Additionally, House Cervisces works under the table with House Vulux with slave trades.
